Yesterday our Girls’ Volleyball team was victorious in the season opener against Maria Regina School. Great job ladies! Thank you also to our coaches, Mr. and Mrs. Bentley and our great referee, Mr. CJ. Our drumline, led by the talented Mr. Nuno, also played yesterday and they were excellent. I hope everyone enjoyed the game. The girls play next Wednesday at 4:45 at St. Albert the Great School. This weekend the Boys’ Flag Football team is playing in their season opener against Holy Name of Jesus School on Saturday, at 4:30pm. Please come out and show your support to both teams. Dear Parents, Today the 8th grade led our September 11th Prayer Service. Thank you to the 8th grade class, as well as Mr. Crockett who assisted with the flag presentation. In addition, I would also like to extend thanks to all of the families who attended our Chuck E. Cheese fundraiser. We raised $400 for our school. Today permission slips for our school choir will be sent home. Our school choir is an integral component of our music program. Please encourage your child to join the school choir. Documents that are being sent home today include: L.A. County Fair, Choir and First Communion Permission Slips. Please return them as soon as possible. Outreach Concern has returned this year to our school. Our Outreach Concern counselor this year is Ms. Patraw. She will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please return the consent form as soon as possible if you are interested in your child receiving these services. Morning Safety: Currently we have two parent volunteers that consistently provide assistance to the children during the morning drop off. The new morning drop-off procedures include: pulling up to the curb to drop off and no U-turns in the street. Many of you may not be aware, but just last week one of our students and a parent were almost hit by a driver making a U-turn and speeding. Please remember that this is a Catholic School and our parent volunteers are performing a good will service to keep ALL of our students safe. Their job is not easy, but greatly appreciated. Please continue to do your part in the morning by dropping your child off safely. Lastly, please continue to pray for Mrs. King and her family, as well as Nia in 4th grade and Wynter in 6th grade, as they mourn the loss of their loved one, Mrs. Morgan. May God bring them peace at this time of sorrow. Blessings On Your Weekend, Mrs. Rickenbacker, Principal Download the entire newsletter below:Welcome back to school!
