2020-21 School Year Update
Our 2020- 2021 school year will look much different than previous years, but what will remain the same is our commitment to learning, our Eagle pride and our strong sense of community. We are committed to providing a safe environment for faculty, staff and students. Currently we are experiencing a surge in Covid-19 cases in Los Angeles County. Please note that this situation is fluid and changing daily and this preliminary plan can be amended at any time. Based on current guidelines from the California Department of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Department of Catholic Schools, we will return to campus in a hybrid or distance learning model under the implementation of practical proactive measures. We will continue our Distance Learning program until we are able to resume in-person instruction.

Transfiguration Elementary is a wonderful place to begin a child's foundation for a lifetime of learning, not only in the academic sense but as a Christian and a complete human being. My son looks forward to every day at school, and, we can't wait for the next year!

Transfiguration School's Mission
Our mission is firmly reflected in our strong academic program. At Transfiguration School we are committed to providing our students an individualized Catholic education. We utilize a wide array of tools to ensure academic growth in our students. The students have actively incorporated technology into their learning; each classroom is equipped with computers and/or laptops. Every class has an opportunity to utilize the Science Lab and Library. In addition, we offer courses during the instructional day including in the fine and performing arts, dance and piano classes.
It was very important for us as young parents to make a decision on the type of education and fundamental upbringing in which our child could flourish into a smart, caring and well-rounded individual. The legacy and history of Transfiguration Elementary in the Leimert Park community made our decision to support this school a relative easy choice.
