Curriculum Overview
Transfiguration School is a dynamic, family-oriented and vibrant place! As a Pre-K-8th grade school, we offer a curriculum that seeks to educate the whole person and nurture the development of each individual student through a program that is balanced to excite, motivate and challenge. Transfiguration School lives by its mission: to give our students the experience of a well-balanced, faith-based curriculum, to inspire in our students a lifelong love of learning and pursuit of academic excellence; to nurture a desire to grow in love of God, self, humankind and all creation; to develop knowledge of and respect for diversity that makes our society strong; and to encourage active and responsible global citizenship.
At Transfiguration School we are committed to providing our students an individualized Catholic education. We utilize a wide scaffolded array of tools to ensure academic growth in our students. The students have actively incorporated technology into their learning; each classroom is equipped with computers and/or laptops. At its best, this happens by using a blend of small group, whole group, and individual instruction. To meet the needs of every learner, Transfiguration scaffolds student learning to ensure all are exposed to curriculum at their zone of proximal development. In addition, we offer courses during the instructional day including in the fine and performing arts including dance.
